HOW MANY GUESTS CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE FOR A WEDDING RECEPTION? These numbers are not socially distanced for COVID -19. Unless you are just having family a tent is recommended during the pandemic. Currently, there is no limit for outdoor gatherings.
Sennebec Farm can accommodate wedding receptions of up to 400 people with the addition of a tent. For a more intimate wedding, you may be able to forego renting a tent as the barn can hold up to 25- 50 guests seated for dinner. If your guest list is more than 50, you should plan to rent a tent.
DO YOU HAVE RESTROOMS?
Yes. There are two port-o-potties included in each package to accommodate your guests - hidden with lattice - one oversized and one standard. If you have more than 100 guests there will be an additional charge for more than two port-o-potties.
CAN WE SUPPLY THE ALCOHOL?
Yes, you may purchase your own beverages, including alcohol, but you are required to employ an insured bartender to serve it.
DO YOU HAVE ON-SITE PARKING?
Yes! There is on-site parking available. There are large fields for parking, depending on the size of the event. The parking area is easily accessible for your guests.
ARE TABLES AND CHAIRS INCLUDED?
If you choose the SENNEBEC DELUXE PACKAGE we will provide tables, chairs, and a tent to accommodate up to 150 people. While we have a few banquet tables on site, we find that most couples have their own vision of their event. Therefore, if your wedding day will include more than 150 people, we have local rental companies we can recommend who will work with you to design your ideal seating arrangements. They're ready to help you pull together all your rental needs, from tables and chairs to place settings as well as any other necessities needed for your perfect day.
HOW LATE CAN OUR EVENT GO?
We ask that the bar close and the music end at 9 pm the night of your event with the expectation that your guests have left the property by 10 pm.
CAN WE HAVE THE REHEARSAL DINNER IN THE BARN?
Yes! Please remember the catering and bartending must be licensed and insured. And keep in mind that cleanup is required after the rehearsal dinner in order to be ready for your wedding day.
HOW LONG IS THE RENTAL PERIOD?
If you have rented for the weekend then check-in is at 5 pm Thursday and check out is 12pm Sunday. Early check-in and/or late check-out may be arranged for a fee. If you are renting for one day only, check-in is at 7am and check-out is at 10 pm, with quiet times from 9-10 PM.
ARE THERE SPECIFIC VENDORS WE NEED TO USE?
No. It’s important to us that you're able to craft your event to reflect your individual personalities and desires, so we don't restrict your vendor choices. We are more than happy to provide recommendations, and we do have a list of preferred vendors (see our list).
IS THERE ON-SITE LODGING FOR GUESTS
There are two bedrooms in the bridal suite that will accommodate sleeping for five people. There are additional charges for overnight use of the bridal suite.
IS THERE HEAT OR AIR-CONDITIONING?
There is no air-conditioning in the Farmhouse, but there are fans in each room, and a great breeze most days. Each room in the Farmhouse has its own thermostat for heat. The barn is not heated and does not have air conditioning.
DO WE NEED TO CLEAN UP?
Sennebec Farm is a "leave no trace" event venue. We ask that all rental items be broken down and stacked for pick up by your rental company. It's always a good idea to check with your caterer as to whether or not they will provide this service for you. We require all personal items, décor, and florals to be removed from the property by 12PM the day following your event. The exception is pick-up of rented tables and chairs, which can be removed the Monday after your wedding.
